(Ho Ching was reported to be a billionaire in The Indian Express)
Temasek Holdings has fooled Singaporeans about leadership renewal since more than a decade ago.
Ho Ching is the highest-paid and most powerful Singaporean CEO. Any leadership renewal would mean a demotion of sorts.
Where will Ho go after Temasek without losing her top 50 most powerful women in the world status as well as Forbes’ No. 4 most powerful women in finance (2017)?
The only way to ‘earn’ similar obscene pay is to set up her own investment fund, similar to other ex GIC employees, with seed money from Temasek/GIC. This is of course political suicide for PAP.
Although Temasek had appeared to be serious about leadership renewal when it appointed Charles Chip Goodyear CEO-designate in 2009, this was likely a wayang.
If the world had not recovered from the global financial crisis, Ho would have been off the hook for huge investment losses.
And no responsible CEO would leave the company in the midst of one of the worst financial crises under the pretext of leadership renewal.
Coincidentally or otherwise, global markets bottomed out in March 2009 and CEO-designate ‘quit’ in July the same year.
If Temasek was really serious about leadership renewal 4 years after Ho became CEO, why is Ho still CEO after 14 years?
Why would a CEO – spouse of the PM – who earns obscene amounts in tax dollars without transparency and accountability steps down?
It’s more likely that leadership renewal will be forced upon Temasek after PAP does a BN.

A jiak liao bee hailing from the useless PAP will never represent me, my family, extended family, friends, fuck buddies, pets and the carefully cultivated bonsai plant in my bedroom. If anything this particular obvious farce of a presidential election makes me feel terribly ashamed to be a Singaporean.

Thank you Tony Tan for being a most useless president all this while. You were unnervingly quiet, too quiet in fact when you proclaimed you would be a unifying voice for Singaporeans. Your manner of keeping the government in check? Hmm let's for example take a look at Oxley-gate: oh you decided to hide away without nary making a sound when Pinky decided ownself clear ownself in parliament was sufficient; then again maybe you were busy banking in your million dollar salary. Well you can take comfort in the fact your legacy in SG history is secured: being the worst head of state yet. So much for thinking we already hit rock bottom as far as incompetence was concerned with the late S R Nathan. And with regards to GIC apparently bleeding billions due to its previous fucked up investment in UBS, rest assured we peasants won't forget your culpability in this spectacular financial gaffe. Please do not retire too happily Mr President. Ghosts from the past may jolly well pay a visit eventually. Karma is a bitch who loves knocking and collecting.人在做，天在看。

Genuinely excited to catch this year's National Day Rally. This is because dishonourable Lee will either (a) catwalk onto the stage (b) almost pass out halfway through the speech once more (c) milk his daddy's legacy and possibly squeeze in some carefully cultivated crying scene alongside him reminding everyone he is an awesome bro because he doesn't sue his siblings (d) make some inappropriate joke where his grossly overpaid henchmen offstage will laugh on cue and perhaps offend China once more in the process (e) praise himself for running the country into the ground with a twisted genius narration (f) All of the above Nah I was just kidding. I'd rather rape myself with a boiled cucumber than watch this shameless pathetic clown wayang big time on national TV.
