[RIP] 49 yo Grab driver suffered stroke and passed away, leaving behind two teenage daughters

SINGAPORE: When Andy Ke moved into his new Build-to-Order (BTO) flat in Punggol early in 2024, he never imagined he would be dealing with a rubbish situation for months to come.
Photos shared by the 41-year-old resident of the Punggol Point Cove estate along Punggol Way showed large cardboard boxes and plastic sheets dumped at a walkway.
When CNA visited the block in question on Wednesday (Jun 12), there were similarly several large cardboard boxes as well as wooden frames left at a basement car park, despite a sign warning that illegal dumping would come with a S$1,000 fine.
Mr Ke, a director at a logistics company, said that from when he first noticed the waste, it took only a month for it to become a "mountain" almost touching the ceiling.
"I (couldn’t) take it any more. I feel that something must be done. Someone must say something about it," said…
Just give this fucking pundek shitskin 12 strokes of the rotan, he will sober up right away

JOHOR BARU: After two decades of repeatedly bailing out her son from debt, a single mother has finally decided to sever ties with him after he borrowed money from multiple loan sharks.
Retired teacher Chia Hui Chiang, 62, said she had forked out about RM100,000 to pay off the debts.
Hold your breath fellas, coz GST might just be upped to 10% in the very near future due to you know why ;)
Da fuck was a seasoned F&B player like Fei Siong even thinking in the first place, setting up shop at a deader than dead venue? If anything it got what it fucking deserved!
Singapore is boring if you are poor - take it from us peasants who know this all too well. That's the harsh truth.
How on earth is she even going to remember the names of all 22 children, let alone, what, 105 which she aspires to?
SINGAPORE – The police said on Saturday they arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly murdering his 32-year-old wife at a hotel.
On Saturday at 5.05pm, the man went to Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre to tell officers that he had killed his wife at a hotel in East Coast Road, said the police.
The Straits Times understands the hotel is the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong, which is located in Katong Square.
When officers arrived at the hotel room, they found the woman lying motionless with a slash wound.
She was pronounced dead there by paramedics.
The Football Association of Singapore’s internal review into the 2023 Southeast Asian Games disaster should well paint a grim and dark picture of the state of the game in Singapore.
And hopefully that helps them take action decisively.
Portions of the review, seen by TMSG through our sources, indicate that an overhaul of the national football body may well be in order.
TMSG is making this information gathered public so that the people in charge will be accountable, especially given that the national football body has itself convened the internal review following the disastrous SEA Games outing.
Our intent is simple: provide as accurate as possible an unadulterated picture of what led to Singapore’s shocking implosion at the SEA Games where the Young Lions, led by national U23 head coach Philippe Aw, finished rock bottom in terms of performance, returning with only a single point after a draw with Laos.
The body of a 77-year-old woman was found in a state of decomposition in a flat at Block 163 Bedok South Road on May 25.
The police arrived after receiving a call from the woman's sister, Shin Min Daily News reported.
The deceased woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Blood on the ceiling
A woman, who lives one floor below, told Shin Min that her family first noticed blood dripping from the ceiling of their master bedroom.
There was also a a foul smell.
The family went up to check on their neighbour, and saw the deceased's sister outside the door.
According to other neighbours, the sister had been knocking on the deceased woman's door since 10am.
When the neighbour downstairs told her about the blood, the sister decided to call the police.
A vehicle arrived at around 6pm to remove the body.
Lived alone for over 25 years
The husband of the neighbour who discovered the blood told Shin Min that the deceased had been living alone in her flat for over 25 years.
He said the deceased had spoken to her sister on the phone just two days prior, on May 23.
However, the deceased was uncontactable that night.
This made her sister worry if something was wrong, prompting her to go to her flat to check on her.
Another neighbour on the same floor was also reported to have seen a lunch box hanging outside the deceased's house, untouched for two days since May 23.
The niece of the deceased told Shin Min that her aunt was a retired teacher who did not have any known cardiovascular issues.
According to the niece, the police told the family that her aunt had died in her sleep, and that blood seeped out from her body as it started to decompose.
Based on preliminary investigations, the police has ruled out the possibility of foul play.
Investigations are ongoing.

Shoppers at Tiong Bahru Plaza last Friday (Jan 27) were horrified after a man allegedly fell from height at around 3pm.
The deceased was a man in his 20s or 30s, Shin Min Daily News reported.
Several people working at the mall told the Chinese evening daily that they heard a loud sound and later saw a man lying on the ground floor.
"He kept vomiting blood, and no one dared to move him," one of them said.
Another eyewitness surnamed Huang shared that a woman working in the vicinity took out a first-aid kit and tried to help the man.
Expect many more suicides by S'poreans who are no longer able to cope with the spiralling costs of living in one of the most expensive cities in the world. SG appears to be a first world country on the surface, yet the overwhelming majority of us ordinary folks are only drawing third world wages. A whole lot more will inevitably see no way out of their predicaments, mark my words.
SINGAPORE — Supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice has put up locks on shelves displaying infant formula in one of its stores as a trial to prevent theft.
In response to queries from TODAY, a FairPrice spokesman said on Wednesday (Jan 18) that it started the trial at its Bukit Batok MRT Station outlet as infant formula is “a common item that is typically shoplifted”.
“This trial started two weeks ago and we continue to assess the feasibility of continuing or extending this initiative,” it said.
It added that the trial complements various other security measures it has put in place, including close-circuit television cameras and plain clothes security officers to deter shoplifting.
On Tuesday, a Twitter user by the name of Shawn Lim had tweeted a photo of the locked displays.
CNA reported on Wednesday night that at least another outlet — in Boon Lay Shopping Centre — had a similar plastic screen with lock.
Consumers buying infant formula and certain beauty products have to ask supermarket staff to unlock the screens to obtain the items, CNA's report added.
TODAY has reached out to FairPrice on this and to ask about figures on theft of infant formula.
TODAY checked out three FairPrice outlets at Yew Tee and Pasir Ris on Wednesday and did not see any one of them which secured formula milk behind screens.

“We hope that after the feedback, our MP will respond to it and something is done since the public is noticing it. Our MP (Ms Sun Xueling) is very prompt in her response and we are actually quite impressed by her. I’m sure she will do something,” said Ms Panneeirchelvam.
Hmm I wonder how much Miss Panneeirchelvam was being paid to sing SXL's praises?

In SG you either work till you drop dead, or you drop dead whilst working. This is the painful, sobering reality confronting many middle-class folks these days.
