The US President’s continued reckless threats towards world leaders could start a global conflict, Senator Bob Corker has said.
Mr Corker said: “He would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.”
The Republican is locked in a heated feud with his President who he has accused of acting “like he’s doing ‘The Apprentice’ or something”.
The Tennessee lawmaker is concerned the President’s rhetoric could put the US “on the path to World War 3”.
President Trump is likely to need to rely on the Mr Corker to pass the party’s tax agenda.
The handling of relations with North Korea and Iran has led to some criticism for Donald Trump as tensions rise.
The President appeared to rule out a diplomatic solution to North Korea telling Secretary of State Rex Tillerson “we'll do what has to be done”.
Trump tweeted that Mr Tillerson was “wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man”.
Triggering World War 3 fears, Trump said: “Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done.”
While communications with Iran have become fraught as Trump threatened not to renew the nuclear deal.
Mr Trump said: “The Iranian regime supports terrorism and exports violence and chaos across the Middle East.
“That is why we must put an end to Iran’s continued aggression and nuclear ambitions.”
The pair began trading insults on Sunday morning after Trump used his Twitter profile to claim Mr Corker “didn’t have the guts” after he decided not to run for re-election.
Mr Corker responded on the social media saying: “It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care centre. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”
The feud saw Corker claim Trump “begged” him for an endorsement.
