So many of these wannabe fusion restaurants just suck, both in terms of food quality and service rendered. A plate of $3 char kway teow probably tastes much better than the supposed avant garde crap they churn out of their kitchens.

Maison ikkoku? Sounds like Fake Japanese fusion food.service and attitude same as French and Japanese.
